One Class, One Teacher

One Class, One Teacher

Teachers and classes have had a major impact on my life.  Throughout the years I have had many teachers which have shaped me into who I am today.  In high school all of my teachers have taught me how to become a better person and to work hard.  However, one teacher has helped me year after year in high school.  This teacher is Mrs. Bender.
The first time I met Mrs. Bender was my first year of high school when I took a class she taught, Basic Computer Applications.  I have always enjoyed using a computer at home, whether to play games, talk to friends, or to surf the net, I could always be found using the computer.  When I took Mrs. Bender’s class, my computer knowledge skyrocketed.  I learned how to type properly and fast, use Microsoft Word and use Microsoft PowerPoint.  I then took Intermediate Computer Applications, which I learned more about computers and Microsoft Excel.  The skills I learned in these two classes continue to help me today; however, they are incomparable to the social skills I have learned from Mrs. Bender as Key Club Advisor.
Key Club has always been a priority in high school for me.  As Key Club Advisor, Mrs. Bender is always looking out for me and all of the members.  As current Key Club Treasurer, I have been taught responsibility and organization from Mrs. Bender.  Mrs. Bender has made sure I have been organized and a good student.  She praises me for my good work and tells me to work harder when I do not do well on something.  Key Club has taught me to always be true to myself and to always word hard for the things I believe in.
Basic Computer Applications and Intermediate Computer Applications have taught me the ins and outs of how to use a computer properly.  By being an officer of Key Club, Mrs. Bender has made me be responsible and organized throughout all aspects of my life.  Without Mrs. Bender always watching over me I do not believe I would be the student I am today.
