Photography Final

My final project represents many major aspects of my life as a senior in high school.  The actual board is symmetrical, which represents the balanced life that I have.  In the center of the board are two larger photos.  One of my Cleveland Cavaliers hat, and another of my New Balance shoes.  Both of these items represent who I am as a person, even though it is just a hat and shoes.

          The right side of the project, along with the top photo, contains photos of different items within my bedroom.  The top photo is of me doing math homework.  It was taken with a tripod and using the 10 second timer on my camera.  This photo accurately depicts me, as the background contains much of the clutter in my bedroom and on my desk.  The top right photo is of a space heater.  My bedroom often gets cold, as this heater helps me stay warm.  Below this is a photo of a lamp.  This lamp is one of the first items I turn on when I enter my room and is often time the only luminous thing in my room.  Next is a photo of my chair and pillow.  Whenever I do homework, I will sit in this chair with my pillow.  At the bottom right is a nighttime picture of a K’nex roller coaster I have built.  I have utilized miniature spot lights to illuminate the roller coaster, hence the different colors in the photo.  Also can be seen is the movement of the coaster train at the top of the lift hill.  All of these items usually are being used at the same time.  As I will sit in my chair with my pillow at my desk watching the roller coaster with the lights on and the heater running.

          The left side of the project, along with the bottom photo, contains photos of different electronic items that are mine or that I use frequently.  The first photo, in the top left corner, is of a cable modem and wireless internet router.  I use both items every day, as the internet is a huge part of my life.  The photo below is a black and white photo of a keyboard and mouse.  The mouse pad that is seen is from my website, thepointol.com.  Next is a photo taken at the top of my tripod looking down.  I commonly use a tripod when I am taking photos, as it greatly increases the quality of the photos.  At the bottom left corner is a photo of a new stereo system I have.  The photo was taken at night and the sub-woofer has a small blue light inside of it, which illuminates it.  Also in the photo is a speaker.  This whole system uses clear plastic for the structure, which gives the whole system a different feel and look.  The bottom middle photo is a black and white photo of my favorite headphones.  When I am not using my headphones, I will throw them on the floor next to the computer.  This is where the photo was taken.

          These photos are all of major items that play a role in my daily life.  They are all connected to each other in some way, as I will be often using more than one of them at a time.
